Walgreens

The coupon blogs that I follow are always posting deals from Walgreens - and I had yet to take advantage of any. I wanted to just focus on Albies and my regular groceries first. Wags seemed like just too big a coupon-bite for me to chew as I was getting started.

Well today I went and scored some pretty sweet deals: Bought 3 John Frieda Root Awakening shampoos at $6.49 each

*used a $5/2 manuf. coupon

*used a $2/1 manuf. coupon

*used 3 $3/1 store coupon

Bought 1 Gillette Fusion razor at $8.99 each

*used a $4/1 manuf. coupon

.

**used a 15% off coupon that I got from being a Facebook fan

OOP (out-of-pocket) was $4.20 for this transaction, but I also got a $4 RR (Register Reward, which is like cash back to use on another purchase in the future.

I did the same deal twice (see picture) so:

Total OOP was $8.40 plus $8 in RR's ....... so its really like I only paid $.40

Original price would have been $56.92 - so that's an 85% savings.

Maybe I'll visit Walgreens more often. MAYBE.....there's a lot more to this Walgreens story, which I will post later.......I'm not sure they want me (or at least my daughter) there any more...=)
