At 7 months Kiera started crawling and within a few days was pulling herself up/walking along the furniture. I knew it wouldn't take her long to figure out the walking thing. Starting a week or so ago, Kiera has been pushing the baby stroller around the house. She gets so excited - this is how she loves to get around now.

This morning, she started standing up by herself (without holding on to anything) in the middle of the room. Then she would look at me like, "Did you see that Mommy?!?"
This afternoon......
She started doing this on her own after we got home from swimming. In the video she is walking toward Tami and Siena. I have known for a while that she's been close to walking - it was just funny how quickly it came on today. Like something clicked inside of her. She spent most of the evening walking around the house like a pro!!

No way! I can't believe she's walking already! Ethan started crawling just before 7 months, but he was almost 13 months before he finally let go of something and was walking on his own. How exciting! Those first steps are always so fun - it looks like she's catching on fast and already has pretty good balance. The videos are great!
They grow so fast don't they?! Hope she doesn't run too fast for you.
