My to-do list

Get ready for Janae's birthday party - we have twelve 3 and 4 year-olds coming over.....
* decorate the cake
*get supplies from JoAnn's
*clean the house
*finish prepping the games
*get stuff from Albertson's
*set up and decorate (after girls are asleep)

Pack for trip to Springfield
*do all laundry
*pack all 4 of us
*try not to forget anything (which is easier said than done)

Okay....so when I type it out, it doesn't sound that bad, but I am feeling a little overwhelmed by all I have to do today. It could be worse - I actually did get a lot of the prep done earlier this week. Anyway, enough of a break - back to work!

What?! You can't do all those things and take care of two little ones. What's wrong with you? You sound extemely normal to me. Heck I'm lucky to get a shower most days. Your an awesome mom, never doubt that. Even if all those chores don't get done. Always remember, the laundry waits, those little ones won't! Love you!

That sounds like my to do list everyday (except for the party part)! Hope all your hard work pays off and you have a hit party!

I totally understand what you mean that it doesn't look like much written down. However, it IS a lot and each item takes a lot of time and generally nothing goes as smoothly as it should (JoAnn's might not have what you need, laundry takes FOREVER because it involves sorting and de-staining, and washing and then drying and then folding and then putting away and little ones might want to 'help' which isn't always helpful and cleaning a house with little ones isn't easy either. All the items on your list take a lot of time and energy. If you got it all done I'm thoroughly impressed. If you managed HALF of it I'm impressed. And yes, the little ones are the most important. I'm sure your mom would be happy to let you do laundry in Springfield (that's what I always tell my kids--just bring it with you!) Yep, you're an awesome mom.
