So I have cake orders coming in like CRAZY!! I love it! I need to get a blog up and running, and need to get licensed with the state. But first, I need a name....I know many of you suggested names previously, but some of those names are already in use (ie. The Sweet Life). Please vote on a name over on the left-hand side of this blog. Or, if you've thought of another suggestion, please leave it in the comment section here. I really need your help!! Thanks everyone!

So happy for you! You are doing a great job!!
How exciting!! I really like using your name - so my vote was for Swanson's Sweets. [Also, there's nothing simple about what you do - your cakes are way above the normal person's ability, so those ones would be out for me!]
Chris likes simple sweets

I voted Sublime Sweets... I wish you TONS of success and with cakes like yours I'm sure that is what you will get. :o)
I really like Cake Bliss and Cake Charm. We used to have a place called Cupcake Charm here.
Ok Heather, Kara and I have been thinking and we came up with...Raindrop Cake Co., Platinum Cake Designs, Platinum Cake Creations, Heather's Incredible Cakes, or Decadent Cake Designs. So there you have it our input for the name. I truly haven't stopped thinking about it! I checked them all and as far as I can tell they aren't taken.
I kinda like Raindrop Cake Co. Not sure why I like it, but I do. It may be that I prefer the names with three words (even though we call my favorite bakery 'Sweet Life' it's formally Sweet Life Patisserie which describes what the business is/does. Swanson's Sweets, Simple Sweets, Sublime Sweets and Simple Bliss don't portray what you're making/selling -- so my vote would include a name that indicates that you are baking and making (in this case, cakes!).
I meant to say "what" you are baking and making. :)
Karen - I'm TOTALLY with you...I've been thinking that Swanson's Sweets sounds more like a candy store, not a cake business...I also really like Raindrop Cake Co and Platinum Cake Co. Not sure why either, but I do!
Oh! Karen makes a good point! And now that you mention it, Swanson's Sweets does sound like a candy store. I kinda like the Raindrop Cake Co. too - maybe because you've always lived in the rainy Northwest?!
Great cakes! Since "take the cake" means to surpass or exceed all others, maybe something with that in the name. Or, "serendipity" is a fun word. According to the thesaurus "the consequence of serendipity is sometimes a brilliant discovery (HAPPY) CHANCE" Also means good fortune, fortuity, providence; happy coincidence. I'm sure your customers would all agree that they were fortunate to have you design their cake. So maybe Serendipity Cake Co. Good Luck! BTW, I know I haven't posted before, I just wandered onto your site from my daughter Kim's blog.
Ooo. I like Raindrop Cake Co. too. Swanson's Sweets is cute but it makes me think of the live action Jungle Book. (Mowgli kicks Sargeant Harley's "sweets".)
I like Serendipity Cake Co. It sounds happy. :)
