So this is a collection of pictures I've taken on my iPhone over the past few weeks.
First sprinkler day of the summer (July 7th)
I didn't think K would like it, but I could hardly get her out of the sprinkler! She had a blast!
Silly pose
You'd think from this picture of J that I was FORCING her to play outside...
That's better!

Arrgghh, matey!

Looking cute while waiting for J.
Janae in her first ever sack race. I love the one of her up in the air.

I was going to do a post - but our scanner is not working, and none of our wedding pictures are digital....weird that it's been less than 8 years since every one switched to digital pictures. So here are a few pictures of pictures for your enjoyment. .JPG)
Look at my waist! Soooo tiny!!
Anyway, Jeff was out of town for our actual anniversary, so my mother-in-law and I went to Ecliopse (along with everyone else in town) while my father-in-law watched the girls. Thanks again Grandpa! When Jeff got back into town we went out to dinner and then saw Knight and Day. I really liked it - pretty funny. Happy anniversary Jeff!

A couple of weekends ago Jeff took K's crib apart and made it into a toddler bed. I was pretty nervous about that first night, but she didn't even get up once! She loves her new bed and is adjusting very well. We've had a couple of rough nights, but overall it's been WAY better than I expected!
Trying it out for the first time
This morning Kiera gave me a huge scare. As I was walking past her room after I woke up, I peeked in to make sure that she was still asleep. She was no where to be found. I started freaking out and got Jeff to help me look for her. Finally, on the second time around the upstairs (after looking downstairs too) I walked over to look on the far side of the guest bed (which is in our toy room. The picture below shows what I could see from the door.
After going over to the window, I saw this:
She was sound asleep. The blankets were just high enough that I couldn't see her until I was right up to her (and since the bed is in the toy room, the bed always looks messy from the kids jumping on it). So at some point during the night she woke up and moved herself into the toy room. Needless to say we had a talk about it this morning after she woke up - she knows now that she has to come tell me or Jeff if she wakes up in the night.

A couple of weeks ago the 5 stakes in our area (so all of our church congregations that meet from Longview to Vancouver to The Dalles) came together for a Youth Dance Festival. The youth (ages 12-18) practiced for about 6 months to put this together. This is a shot of the opening dance number:
below: the other half of the field.
There were hundreds and hundreds of kids there. I think it had to be somewhere around 1500 kids all dancing the same dances.
These two pictures go together too.
It was amazing. We loved it - Kiera especially. I don't think they'll do this every year, but I hope they do it again soon!

What a great assortment of pics! You've got me wondering what pics I have on my phone, hmmmmm
What fun things! Our youth did one of those dance festivals a few years back, I never saw it though. That is funny about the wedding photos not being digital, mine aren't either. I've never had the ability to scan them all, maybe someday. Glad you got to do something fun on your anniversary!
Wow, that was a fun post! I loved dance festival and am so proud of how hard the youth practiced to make it so great! I love the sprinkler pic's of K! Sooo cute!
I seriously thought I'd already seen this until I started reading... all new to me! Very nice update on everything and lots of great pictures! Eclipse was a blast. Hands down better than New Moon. It made me a believer in the movies again!
Oh, and I loved the story of finding K in the playroom bed. Too funny... that is after the initial scare!
