I picked Janae up from preschool yesterday, and as we were driving away, I started my usual questions about how her day went. Here is how our conversation started:
Me: "So, Beans, what did you do at school today?"
Janae: "Ummmm......" (then her face lights up and she puts her finger to her lips - I was watching her in the rear-view mirror) "Ssshhhh.....Mrs. Russell said we're not supposed to tell our mommies about the special suprise pot. It's a secret present for them!" (she's whispering all of this to me)

Me: (trying not to laugh) "Well, you'd better not tell me then."
J: (still whispering) "I know, we are finishing the pots on Friday, then I can give you the secret present, okay?"
She is sooo cute. I wonder how many other kids told their mommies about the secret pot!
***UPDATE***
This morning I talked to the mom of one of Janae's classmates, and she had the same conversation - almost verbatum - with her son after school yesterday!

Don't you love it?!?! I remember I always had the hardest time keeping stuff like that a secret - Christine and Elisabeth, too. You just get so excited!! Just be sure to act surprised when she gives it to you!! :)
That is a beautiful picture of her, by the way.
That is so sweet! She is such a darling girl :)
